Behind the scenes, 15 minutes before the show!

I get asked about this a lot, so I’m posting this here 😊

I’m normally chill (and cheerful) before shows, but I get STRESSED when I’m pressed for time. We had our only full run from 4-6pm (fair enough) so I barely had two hours to get everything else sorted before the show. Having done vocal rest from 6-7:45pm, I now had 15 minutes to warm my chords up again— my check up songs were the first two (“I Could Have Danced” and “Think of Me.”)

So between getting the shoes to fit properly, ensuring that the team set up the right gowns for costume changes, and prepping myself mentally for the gazillion lyrics I had crammed in the last few weeks, this was me not even realising what else was happening around me.

Thank you, Nisham for being so meticulous about creases and lint in the gown, and to Gloomy for running after me with a bronzer. They know I’m a generally pleasant person— just not during those 15 minutes. Hahaha.
